Hairy Hissmas! Where should I fly?

A Merry Pagan Solstice Celebration to All!

…er…, I mean, a Happy, joyous Seasons Greetings to Everyone!

Whatever you want to call it.…, we celebrated this Christmas with bits of our neighbor’s pine tree (silver-showered in rain) decorating our place, red drippy candles (the blood of Cross-bearers roars strong!) lighting our smiles, stockings that looked like Express-Mail packages from mom (nuts and rice-crispy treats died for our sins!), Christmas Carols that Mister E. improvised on the guitar, drum and rock-star-esque vocal kazoo (“Grandma got run-over by a reindeer!”), and a few sacrificed lamb-like children (don’t worry—they wanted to taste fire!)…

Quite marvelous (and tasty!), indeed!

Now…, all that’s left in my feeling completely fulfilled for the holiday season is for me to choose a destination for my next pagan vacation coming in a few weeks…

I’m thinking Costa Rica or Panama because they have special, Frequent Sacrificer Deals from LAX and OAK…,

Honduras, on the other hand, has got vampire divers, Belize has multi-lingual mongrels, and Caracas has college friends to welcome me…

…but any suggestions (or offers of already-plucked/sheared sacrifices) would be greeted with open tongs and warmed charcoal…

MERRY LATE CHRISTMAS!

Harry Hissmas to you too. I would have said it sooner but, but, but, I don't speak Japonese.

Now that I do...Ditto to you and urine!

Wherever you go on your vacation please send me a dirty postcard.

Mostly what I got for Christmas was 4 or 5 lap robes. I still have 3 from last year. I'm begining to think that I forget to zip up at times.

Enjoyed your post as per usual. Why don't you write more about yo' family? Why did they name you -c? I know that no one would pick out such a monika as that.

Naw...that couldn't be it about the lap robes. I used to be a Chipindale dancer:) before I put to sea.

I'm out of here!

How about Cartagena, Colombia, or for something a little more offbeat, Paramaribo, Suriname? Actually, of the places you listed, I think Panama seems pretty interesting - I'd love to go there. Of course, you could just skip the Americas altogether and make a beeline for, I dunno, say, Malta ...

Merry Late Christmas to you, too!

cap'n rich- I thought I'd seen you somewhere before. Though you weren't the first chip n dale dancer I've fed a $20 to, you're the only one I remember.

dingobear- ah... dreams of Malta. You'll have to post pictures if you go in February so I can be envious.

kingfelix- Thanks for the recommendations! I love Guatemala, and have even spent some time beside your loony lago. This time, though, it came down to the cheapest flight. I've heard others talk about San Juan del Sur also..I'll have to get there one of these days!

unfortunately, neither is the case. The other cheap option was to fly into cancun and bus it down southward which would have been cool too. But, since I was just in the Yucatan recently, I chose the other option. I can still bus out for less than the difference in flight costs... Hey, I'm just on a super-short visit to keep my sanity anyway...

Wow, any of those places would be great to see. I am eagerly awaiting to read your posts of Costa Rica. Maybe you can meet a cliff diving vampire there too...

kinfelix- Now, I'm intrigued! What went on in Nicaragua?

frustrated- perhaps those cliff-diving vampires were a momentary creation of my very confused imagination... But, I'll be sure to write all about what I DO encounter! (perhaps internet chat groups of blood-drinkers who plan excursions over waterfalls in caskets...?)
